Minutes of the Meeting of February 11, 2008

We were again privileged to have Pamela Tabak as our guest speaker. Pamela had been the club’s very first guest speaker, at our meeting of February 19, 2007, when she gave an informative presentation on Windows XP.

The current presentation was entitled “Windows Vista vs. Windows XP.”  Using her PowerPoint slides, Pamela demonstrated some of the major differences and attributes of both programs. She also explained some of the tools available with Vista, such as “Snipping Tool” and directed us to many of the informational or diagnostic sites which are accessible through her website. There was a further discussion on computer maintenance and safety.

Approximately 35 people attended this meeting. The formal presentation was followed by a question and answer session. Pamela again generously invited all users to contact her via e-mail for computer help and to use her website as a resource.
