About Pamela:
Thank you for visiting my website. I am sure you will find many
things that will be helpful to you and will help you navigate the web
much more freely. However if you cannot find it here feel free to email
me directly by going to the contact page and I will be happy to answer
your questions directly by email or can setup a time for some one-on-one
tutoring.
In this section I will give you a brief summary of who I am and how I
have dedicated my computer knowledge and learning in an effort to help
others, mostly seniors.
As a Computer Tutor, Author, eBay Education Specialist, Radio Talk Show Co-Host, Technician and
Webmaster, my primary, but not exclusive focus, is helping seniors and
senior groups. They are a group that have been thrown into a computer
world very late in their lives and although they try to keep up, their
resources in getting assistance is limited. With infinite patience, I
enjoy being able to assist seniors at all levels of computer knowledge
from beginners to advanced.
Here are some places you will find me or my work:
· I
write articles and Q & A’s for
Computer User Groups throughout the USA and Canada for their monthly
newsletters. My articles appear in the
Canadian Snowbirds Association quarterly magazine
and I offer my services at Canadian CARP
· I
work with Computer User Groups
across the world on a regular basis, to help increase their membership and
run their SIGs (Special Interest Groups.) These sessions are conducted over the internet
through Web Presentations.
It's interesting and fun to meet computer users from all walks of life
online.
With today's latest technology, we are able to see each other and discuss
procedures and problems without the need for travel. It's all done
through the internet.
· My Free
24/7 Tech Support by email
is a blessing to all, because my answers
arrive within 24 hours, if not at once. The questions that I receive
daily were
the basis for the First Edition of my book “Computer Tips for Seniors” which I have just
published. I have already begun the Second Edition which I hope to publish during
2011.
· Computer
users worldwide are invited to email me with questions relating to computer
hardware or software problems and I promise to get them an answer in the
shortest time possible. If the user is a novice or the answer needs
a more
in-depth explanation, I usually send a FREE detailed tutorial
from my Tutorial Library that I have compiled over many years. My
Tutorial Library is constantly updating and staying abreast of the fast
paced world of computers.
· On
the fourth Tuesday of every month I am co-host with John
Iasiuolo on his
Radio Talk Show broadcast from Las Vegas.
This is a "live" show where we discuss easy ways
to run a computer and the problems that computer users encounter. I post
the sound files from each broadcast on my website.
By clicking on any link the whole program can be heard through Windows
Media Player.
· All
year long I design and maintain websites for various businesses,
communities and associations. I
also create Graphic Designs and Campaigns for internet
advertising. Some of the Florida Websites
that I have designed and continue to maintain all year round as
Webmaster are:
Huntington Pointe Association in Delray Beach, Florida.
Hunters Run Computer Club in Boynton Beach, Florida.
Kings Point Computer Club in Delray Beach, Florida.
Complex Medical Florida and North Carolina Evaluations.
· Because
of the number of projects in which I am involved, I am only able to
teach privately by Remote Assistance; one-on-one or groups and my
FREE tech support online for hardware and software 365 days a year.
·
My motto is “I don’t only teach, I help you understand” and I
make sure that I use everyday language and examples, when I lecture or
teach. This ensures that the computer world doesn't seem as foreign or
unmanageable as one might think.
· My
aim is to spread
the "Gift of Computer Education" as far and wide as possible for seniors
who did not receive their education during the Technology Era.
I wish to help them enjoy their computers without frustration and
show them that it is a “window to the world” especially for those who
are housebound.
· My
dream for the future is to finish the second edition of my book,
"Computer Tips for Seniors" and to connect with someone who is
proficient in Sign Language who would assist me to teach computer skills
to the hard of hearing. I feel that it would be an enormous
achievement to be able to teach and communicate with the hard of hearing
so that they can also communicate with others via the Internet.
If you, your community
or club would like to use all or any of my services please feel free to
contact me.
I look forward to
hearing from you,
Best regards,
